The Institute for Holocaust Education (IHE) will host a statewide Yom HaShoah commemoration in Lincoln at the Nebraska State Capitol Rotunda on May 2, 2027. The ceremony will honor the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, recognize the resilience of survivors, and ensure their stories and the lessons of the Holocaust continue to be remembered for generations to come.

The program will feature a candle lighting ceremony with community leaders, survivors, descendants of survivors, and guests, along with a special speaker who will help educate and inspire attendees through the enduring lessons of the Holocaust.
