Nebraska State Holocaust Memorial-Wyuka Cemetery

A Place to Remember. A Place to Learn.

Located at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, Nebraska, the Nebraska State Holocaust Memorial honors the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, the millions of other victims of Nazi persecution, and the survivors and liberators whose stories continue to inspire future generations.

Created through the generosity of Nebraskans, the memorial serves as a place of remembrance, reflection, and education, encouraging visitors to learn from history and recognize the importance of standing against hatred and intolerance.

Learning Through Remembrance

The memorial invites students, educators, and visitors to explore the history of the Holocaust while reflecting on the choices individuals make in the face of prejudice and injustice.

Visitors are encouraged to:

Reflect on the dangers of prejudice, discrimination, and antisemitism.
Consider the importance of empathy, respect, and civic responsibility.

Visit the Memorial

Located at Wyuka Cemetery, 3600 “O” Street in Lincoln, Nebraska, the memorial welcomes individuals, families, school groups, and community organizations throughout the year.

Guided tours are available for both the Memorial and the cemetery in general, in cooperation with the Sam and Frances Fried Holocaust Education Fund and the Nebraska State Historical Society.

For school groups: sound equipment, tented areas and transportation subsidies are also available.
