Students in grades 9-12 composed essays paying tribute to those who have demonstrated moral courage by risking their own lives or well-being to save others. The Tribute to the Rescuers Essay Contest requires students to use the Holocaust as an historical backdrop, explore examples of individuals who took a stand against injustice, and bring these lessons to our present situation. The Institute for Holocaust Education's 22nd Annual Tribute to the Rescuers High School essay Contest Awards Ceremony will be held on Monday, May 13th 6:30 PM. The venue is at the Jewish Community Center- Goldstein Community Engagement Venue - 333 South 132nd Street, Omaha, NE.
