5th – 8th educators and students are invited to join thousands of their peers across Nebraska and Western Iowa for the Willesden Lane in the Midwest!
Institute for Holocaust Education is proud to offer our community Willesden Lane in the Midwest, a unique program for primary and secondary educators and students including books, curriculum, and immersive storytelling. At the center of this program is the story of a young girl who dreamed of making her concert debut with the Grieg concerto as a Viennese Jewish refugee during World War II.
Through a multisensory learning experience, Willesden Lane brings the power of music and story to young people, while contributing to their development as empathetic, knowledgeable and resilient individuals.
By signing up for the Willesden Lane in the Midwest; Nebraska and Western Iowa educators can receive a classroom set for either "The Children of Willesden Lane: Young Readers Edition" or "Lisa of Willesden Lane" for their classroom usage at NO COST. Nebraska and Western Iowa educators will also have the opportunity to have professional development, corresponding curriculum, and a cumulative final project.
