Join us for our Holocaust Education Inservice on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2024           4:00 – 8:00 PM Dinner Included!

This Inservice will explore resources from the Nebraska Stories of Humanity: Holocaust Survivors & WWII Veterans Network Portal & Educational Website in partnership with the Teaching with Primary Sources, Midwest Region facilitators, a program funded by the Library of Congress. Together, we will learn about using the Library of Congress online materials and create hands-on tools to integrate these and our community partners’ materials into your classroom curricula. Open to all content areas educators who incorporate Holocaust studies and primary sources in their teaching materials.

Holocaust Education Inservice June 3rd

A partnership between the Samuel Bak Museum: The Learning Center, BLIXT ARTS LAB, UNL Harris Center for Judaic Studies, History Nebraska, Institute for Holocaust Education, Nebraska Department of Education, and the College of Saint Mary.

Featuring Not Too Far Distant by Becky Boesen

This inservice will introduce educators to supplementary Holocaust education programming in Nebraska with our listed partners. Our resources will help educators build their students’ content knowledge, empathy, and critical thinking skills. Educators will gain tangible resources that can be easily integrated into their curriculum. Learning about primary sources related to the Holocaust will be a focus of this training. This inservice is open to all content areas that incorporate Holocaust education in their curriculum or those who seek to incorporate Holocaust education in their curriculum in the future.
